A high production shop asked BECCA representatives to help troubleshoot a few problems they were experiencing in their shop. Included in this shop were three booths and four “A” paint guns. The shop had complications with their waterborne paint and needed a skilled solution.
BECCA representatives were equipped with a special camera using it to document the inner workings of the paint guns. The condition of the critical fluid and the air control surfaces of the four waterborne guns used by the shop were able to be recorded, which helped diagnose the problem.
Representatives found a very ineffective gun washer was being used, as well as a process that broke most of the rules that are taught with the BECCA process. But after installing a new BECCA E800A Automatic/Manual Workstation at the shop, the problems were fixed and a clean delivery system for waterborne basecoats became accessible for the business.
Today, painters at this shop are great supporters of the BECCA equipment, as well as the recommended cleaning process.
